A good guy. 02.01.19
The immense joy she felt the first time they met, like she was meeting her very own soul. His soft kisses and nearly perfect blonde hair. The way he snuggled into her neck when they woke up together the morning after. All of the good things flashed away the first time he hurt her and every time after. He would draw blood eventually. The things she held most precious, he would seem to find pleasure in destroying. She gave him everything, thought only of his happiness, how could he walk all over her and leave her covered In the mud of his foolishness? Through all of it she loved him with every aching part of her body and soul. Her friends and family warned her of her misjudging but she thought he would change, he would grow with her and one day he would be good. And he did, he grew and the pains were overwhelmed by his affections. All of the mistakes of the past, washed away by the growing love between them. Her patience and understanding had paid off in more ways than she could’ve ever imagined. She no longer regretted getting a puppy, because now he was a good boy.
